When "Stud Gardens" bloom with flowering delight,

bringing forth hidden fruit of fulfilled dreams......

A Sepia Flower will burst forth with zeal

    capturing hearts and men's admiration.

    Producing a delicious, robust flower.....
one with grand stature and presence; honor.

With handsome petals displaying a brilliant pattern of form with meaning.

And having won affection from all who cast their gaze its way,
Now rests in repose and awaits new adventure.

A Sepia Flower , a special delight with a fragrance so enchanting ~~~
Wafting from coast to coast its majestic scent of love.
    Best Regards,

    Gardening

Thank you FL-Frank and Mr. Greenjeans. Gardening is one of my other passions. Really, can't let the 911S take over my life. Just love that car; but, want to do other things, too.

one must seek balance in life, or the things of meaning grow dim and distant ~~

the special things become ordinary, and those which are meant to supplement and fulfill often overtake and lose their greatness.

Sepia is a wonderful addition to your presence. She complements you well. You have much to be thankful for and great friends to live life with.... some we met at Parade this year enjoying your friendship , with Sepia your wonderful 911.

Candyce, Thanks for bringing it all together, as we as a community of enthusiasts are far richer for all you have shared.
You have an amazing story, developed with passion over the years of ownership with your little German friend. May you have many more just as rewarding and filled with that same passion.

    The First Judging

This is the first judging in the morning for class and division awards.
There were five judges. While they worked, I watched and tried to pay attention and learn
... notice what they were looking at. My favorite comment was the interior doors and door pockets were "unreal."

    Waiting

While the judges completed their tasks, everyone just waited and passed the time by ...
looking at the cars, talking with their competitors, and visiting with the spectators.
    The Registry was well represented.

    Late Afternoon

By late afternoon, most of the cars had left the field. We were waiting for the second judging for the group awards.
It was a long day. The second team of judges walked from car to car.
Sepia was at the far end waiting all by herself.

    The Final Judging

For the final judging for the group award, there were three judges. While two judges inspected the car, one judge discussed the car's history with me. We went over Jim's log book, which I have continued, and the two binders.
The car sold itself and I told the story.

As someone who has both participated in Concours as well as judged, this is just a wonderful story...

Great photo documentation of the day Candyce.

Nice to see you giving a History Lesson to the class.....

And Pam says to say Thanks for including her in the picture ! We were spellbound at the feet of the Honorable Mr. Fleming, and could not tear ourselves away apparently to listen to you share the joy

When driving little Ms. Sepia, does she tell you what more to add into the mix ?

    .... thought so

    Listening to the 911

Sepia does talk to me especially when driving. There is no radio so there is time to think. I try to focus on driving--observing the gauges, shifting smoothly, choosing the correct gear, watching the traffic, maintaining a consistent speed. While all that is going on, things pop into my mind. Many times, I think I can do that or say, "Nah, don't go there." Sometimes, I step back and say, "How did that happen? Where did that come from? I am fascinated by the word synchronicity ... look it up.

Later this afternoon, Sepia is off to Barrington for a "fancy" concours. Most of the cars will be trailered in. Sepia will be driven there and cleaned in the hotel parking lot. Gotta keep that tradition going.

Even though the car is a 911S, this S is pure, simple, and honest ... brown, beige, no sunroof, no air conditioning, no radio, no fancy options. A Porsche owned and maintained by ordinary people ... that's my car.
