    1967 GTO $34K - or trade for Early 911

    Hi,
I'm new to the board. I've been into american muscle cars for awhile, have been checking out posts here to educate myself, and think I'm ready to make the plunge into an early 911.

I know they are different beasts, but wondering if anyone in the NYC area or thereabouts would be interested in a trade for 67 GTO?

    Pics here:

    Overview:
Beautiful 67 Pontiac GTO, hardtop, TH-400 Auto, Tyrol Blue, PHS Documented, matching motor/trans/rear, have partial build sheet. Options include high output Package (360 HP), rally gauges, rare bench seat with armrest car, posi rear (3:55 indicated on PHS), power steering, power disc brakes. All listed in PHS documentation.

Interior is mint. Straight body, looks/drives great. Solid driver, paint/motor/trans were all redone in 80s, then car sat until I purchased in 2008. Transmission is awesome, redone by Vitar, a legendary shop in Long Island, NY. Motor is strong, has a mild cam.

Purists - please note carb, driver mirror, radio steering wheel are not original. Car has some vintage blackjack aluminum headers on it as well. Odometer does not work, but everything else works well (speedo, tach, fuel, temp, emergency brake light, etc.) Engine compartment could use some detailing but car is extremely clean otherwise. Trunk floor was replaced by previous owner and is solid, with new mat, full size Rally I with tire cover and jack. Floors and frame are original and solid as show in photos.

Recent work includes professionally rebuilt carb (the carburetor shop in NJ), conversion to M&H single wire breakerless ignition, battery, stainless steel Pypes X pipe exhaust, new front brake calipers, new battery.

Needs nothing, I just drove 200 miles to the Berkshires last weekend. My state farm policy has agreed insured value of $34k following in person appraisal.

    Thanks in advance!
    Mike

Very nice Mike. Until you find your early 911, make sure you bring your GTO to local gatherings so we can check her out in person. Welcome aboard.
