    Carmel " Cars-on-the-Avenue" Concours

After skipping a year in '10, this much loved and popular event was back on the Monterey week schedule.........and I think it's safe & accurate to say everyone is extremely happy it was.

Th quality of invited cars has been raised to new levels, a smaller entry list but a more interesting and varied one, perfect weather and just a wonderful day !!

Below, a small taste of the much more comprehensive coverage that will appear in the Fall issue of the ESSES.

In the 1st set,.........early morning, the sun hadn't come out yet. An original 45,000 mile '68, a detail of an amazing '67 S in white, a red example of the Italian car considered by many to be the most beautiful car ever made, a row of V-6 and V-8 "Fiats", and a couple of real RSs.

Wait, I thought the V-6 "Fiat" in Yellow was considered to be the most beautiful?
    Thanks for posting!

I'll not steal the fire of our ubiquitous photographer who appears in both these photos, once headless (sorry John). He's in good company next to "LKreg"'s class winning "S" and the Viper Green RS which won class and one of the grand prizes as well. Looking forward to my next issue. Thanks!
