    356 one off

NOT MINE!!! I have my full battle gear on for comments on this one.It was at Fantasy Junction a while back.IT wasn`t in a movie and it won`t bring 1.25 at R&M,but it will invite a love/hate response, but it has some redeeming creativity to it.Now on the "BAY". http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-...item2a134dea8e

Ah yes, the Silver Bullet. Jeff Dutton build on a 914 chassis... the most radical outlaw ever, lots of fussy/awesome details.
Love the rearview mirrors and interior of this thing. There's sort of a steam-punk quality to this car, and it's hard to imagine the price keeps dropping but still no buyer after so long...

EDIT: Jeff Dutton, not Dink Farmer... both are Aussie custom builders.

I won't say I love it but I do like it. I think the treatment around the windshield with the rivets looks very aviator... pretty cool. Looks almost '30s Art Deco.

    Just an opinion, folks:

We think it's the wrong color...
Picture this shape in a deep, glossy black with the side access panels, and the two rear louvered panels in body color...
To our eye this would channel those cool pre-war French Voisins in a "kinda-sorta" way...
As long as we're dreaming, we would re-do the seats to be more "period correct"... not necessarily Porsche-correct, but something more (again) French pre war.

    All just thoughts...

I don't know about Jeff Dutton, but Dink Farmer practices his art out of his shop in Clearlake, in Northern California..........and he's definitely not Australian. He is however an extremely talented metal man who has done far more outrageous work than the vast majority of folks on this board are aware of.

He has worked on Ruprecht.......his work is / was immaculate, he's just too far away from me.
Before it became Ruprecht, my Porsche was a '70 911 T

My mistake, John. When this car was posted to the 356 boards a couple of years ago, someone identified Dink Farmer as Australian.
Not that the car was built in Australia. He certainly has some skills, the black roadster recently posted here was stunning.

@Homemade 911, definately could see it black, with chrome-tube seats with saddle leather in classic French practice.
