NOS/NIIB PORSCHE '67S-'68S Clutch Pressure Plate

This is a true barn find for you NOS guys. A new-in-box, new-in-bag PORSCHE '67S-'68S clutch pressure plate. This may be the first time the thing has even been out of the bag! The photos should tell the story. It even still has cosmoline on it!

The box says "67-'68 911S NOT 69" in handwriting, so I am forced to accept that at face value. Truth is, I've never seen one of these before, but the part # is correct according to the original parts manual. Frankly, I was shocked to see that original PORSCHE plates are over $1,000 from vendors. Part #901 116 003 00.

Asking $750 plus shipping, and we'll split the 3% paypal fees.

    Thanks for looking.

It is a plate for the 1967 911S. From previous posts it seems that the copper face was not well received and possibly dropped for 1968. Then the design changed entirely for the 1969 911S. I have used one in the past, and it was okay.

    Davep,

That's interesting. If they didn't like the copper face, do you know what material replaced it? Also, can a pressure plate be re-faced (to whatever the replacement material might have been)?

    Thanks for the education.

It was replaced with sintered iron and no it can not be replaced.
