Dave, it seems to depend on which 100 liter tank you have, plastic or steel. I have a BASF plastic one, and a steel repro from Vintage Excellence. The plastic tank one is longer. I can measure it for you if you'd like. Mark Allen will be sending me one for his steel tank so I can't tell you what that is yet. You're gonna love the range with a 100 liter tank, just drove my 67 S to parade with Mark's tank and although I never fully tested the range, on average I'd go about 360 miles, and never put in more than 18 gallons, which meant I could have gone another 100 easy.

I'd love one of those big tanks but I don't think my kidneys can hold out that long between stops anymore!

Trust me, mine don't either, I stop every couple hours any way, I just don't need to gas up every time I stop. It's especially nice to have the range when you're traveling in desolate areas, or when driving through the night when many places are closed, such as I did going to the Parade.

    Ed,
Would love to know how long the basf tank sender is. Has anyone ever successfully extended one of these? Seems to be a fairly complex little mechanism.

Just for you Dave, I pulled the sender out of the BASF tank and it is 13 1/2" , probably the same as Rolly's. I know that sender was about an inch too long for the steel 100 liter tank I got from Mark Allen, (who by the way did me a great service to get me that tank at the last minute)
