Thread: Hollywood Porsches

    Hollywood Porsches

Now that Steve McQueen has been pondered and we are in the fallout, what other Porsche's come to mind, and could you see them having value for their noteriety? Not just limited to 911's. For example:

    1) The Gumball Rally Gal's black 911, or black speed boat with a couple of beaver's in it.
    2) Tom Cruise's 928 from Risky Business, or the U Boat Commander
    3) Al Pacino's 928 from Scarface.
    4) One of the many stolen Porsche's in No Man's Land by Charlie Sheen (Ted Varrick)
    5) The 993 that beat the Cobra through a cinder block wall in the end of Bad Boys.
    6) Robert Redford's 911 in Spy Game, anyone catch the model he was driving?
    7) The 356 in Dragon, or the real one owned by Bruce Lee.
    8) The 3.2 that Jeff Bridges Raced against James' Woods 308 Ferrari.
    9) The 964 in From Dusk to Dawn, George Clooney wanted like new, and it was a '90, movie made in 1996.
    10) the 996 in the opening scene of Gone in 60 Seconds, 2001 Version.

Feel free to ad to the list, or comment on the ones mentioned. Do you think any of these cars could be worth something more because they were featured in a flick, or was the McQueen Factor that much of a player?

Probably most prominent would be the 356 Cab in Bullitt, the Speedster in Harper, and the Speedster in Doc Hollywood (fiberglass?).

#10 was for sale on eBay a while back. It's a fiberglass Mold of a 996 on an 80s 911.

The targa William Hurt drove in the movie The Big Chill and speedster Eddie Murphy drove in 48 hours.

Yes it was a 912, and there were actually three of them. I know the owner of the "hero" car, he said that one was pretty ratty and was used as a stunt car, it had been quickly sprayed (Irish green ?). His car was used for close ups and driving shots. I believe he still has his, but the others hit ebay right after the movie came out claiming to be "the" car.
