but it turns out it won't bolt to my motor mount or my engine at all....what do I need to give me an exhaust hanger location on this thing....should I be looking at PET for a '73 or a '79?

any photos of what it should look like?

Hi Lewis, I had a similar problem mounting a stock muffler to my 3.2 motor. I had to do a little fabricating to make it work but I'll get some pics for you tomorrow and post them here.

It was difficult to get any good pics but I hope this helps.

One of the problems that I had was getting the muffler "lip" to fit into the hanger bracket correctly so I had to elongate the bracket holes with a drill for more adjustment. I also noticed that the muffler was hitting the crank pulley cover so I lightly hammered the area of the muffler to clear the cover.

Is this the same problem your having Lewis?

One more thing, I also had to double up on the exhaust gaskets to move the muffler back a bit, which also brings it closer to the license plate panel.

A little crude but it works for now until I get an M&K
