whats the difference in 1970 in the S models between euro and us models

whats the difference in 1970 in the S models between euro and us models? can someone elaborate on this..? can one also tell me the interior for metalic blue? i am a 356 guy ... and dont know much about the 911's

The only differences I know are the individual country specific equipment packages. So North American cars got the laminated windshield glass, specific turn-signal lense colors, and sealed beam headlights. That sort of thing. Engines and transmissions were the same. I believe they all got the front oil cooler.

.... we recently acquired a metalic blue 911s...but i am trying to get it correct..the inside is a crazy color scheme that i am not use to...the seats are biege with coldoroy in the middle (biege too)..the carpet is like a bronze color...and dash and door handels are black ...

It was lighter almost white and creme....

Hey, Lemuel . . .

I have a '70 Euro 'S,' and it has a couple of detail differences . .

1) Non-sealed beams headlights in my car are H1s --- dual reflectors (separate low- and hi-beam)
2) Metric instrumentation --- kph on speedo --- odo's in kilometers, too! --- oel & drück on combo gauge
3) Cloth seat-belts with a pale-yellow thread in them --- non-retractable
4) Gearing is super-tall
5) Locking steering column --- this feature does not show up on the CoA
6) Simplified vapor-return system --- NO charcoal canister in the trunk
7) NO VIN sticker on the driver-side B-pillar, below the latch post
8) Amber front turn-signals, w/center-most portion --- running light? --- in white/clear, ~20% of the lens
9) Amber rear turn-signals, w/center-most portion --- the brake light --- in red, again, ~20%

It's still in the shop..but I will dig up some...is the taller gears better or worse?

Also - non-US models didn't have the stamped VIN plate on the inside of the A-pillar

French cars had yellow lenses (fog&H1), some RoW didn't had hazard lights, seat belts&headrests not mandatory as well as different seat belt brands mounted all over Europe. Outside rear mirrors on 2.4's could still be Durant (UK cars) and so on..

In italy:

• no hazard lights
• no mirror on the right side
• no seatbelts
• front indicator lenses different from US/ROW

Actually if you watch the 'One for the Road' video I recently linked there is a brief shot of an Italian delivery car (based on the unique front turn signal lens) that has no outside mirror in the left side either.

That detail has been discussed here before but it was cool to see the proof of that in the video.
