    New regional forum

Hi Michael thanks for setting up the new regional forum to include Australia.

I have a 1969 911E that I now race in a historic production class here in Sydney. The cars in our category have limited modification except for safety gear and we race in against cars dated between 1960-1969.

We currently have four typ901 cars racing in Australia with addition of perhaps 2 more in the coming months.

I have always loved the shape of the early 901 cars and have a huge respect for the engineers that designed these nimble and extremely fun cars. I've attached a photo of my car for those who may be interested.

Another vote of thanks for the new forum from another Australian early 911 fan.

I have a silver RHD 69E that also races in the same historic sports car class as Andy's car above. Its always challenging running these cars againsat a variety of other marques that, like the Porsches, each have their own strengths and weakenesses.

I also have a Samson liveried, RHD, ST-bodied 2.8 litre tarmac rally car in the shed, which is a veteran of about a dozen tarmac rallies (including a Gold plate from 3 successful Targa Tasmania's and a top 5 in Classic Adelaide).

Finally, there are days when roll cages, hard seats, no sound deadening, short gears and deafening motors are all a bit much. These are the days best suited to cruising in a stock RHD 73 Targa with the roof off.

Hey guys, I've been waiting for the 'Australian Regional Forum' to be live for my first post :-)

Thanks Michael and Andy for sorting it out... we now have a home.

I'm going to start a 'show my aussie ride' thread for more pics.

    Cheers,
    Nick
