    Value of Euro 72S Targa

    72S Targa

    How many were made for the 72 yr,
    Red book i have is blank
    Any input would be appreciated
    Also value of nice drivers are 100K to 50K whats with this big gap

    Red Book Third edition says 1750 S Targa's. And as always is the case, valuation differences are a matter of condition, documentation, originality and perception...

    I would recommend looking at the Cars FS thread to get an idea of value. Haven't seen any $100K targas myself, but they mist be out there.

    I've got 3rd edition as well... I think the 1,750 number is for S coupes. The Targa number is 989.

    This gargae find is a Euro import 72S has cleaned up very nicely,
    Been sitting for 10+ yrs just cleaned up and basic tune up
    driving and running very nice now around town

    paint 117 repainted in the 90 's to Black ,
    almost totally rust free original chassis very clean with all PVC undercoating
    front dog leg has the only rust bubble i found so far quater size

    original interior
    door pocket are missing and hugh speaker holes int he door and rear shelf
    M
    atching date 5 72 15x 6 fuchs wheels
    plastic touring fuel tank,
    Matching engine and trans numbers wating for COA
    overall a super sweet driver or garage queen
    prob not ready for a full restore yet
    What do you guy think market value for euro spec Targa 72S is now a days

    What a pretty color it will be when put back to original!...HELLGELB (light yellow). I would say $40K in this condition?
