Lame idea...but what if.. Fuch fuch..

Every one is complaining about finding tires that are 70 or hr tall..since modern tires are 65 and 60 tall....what if there is wheel manufacturer make a fuch copy but in 16....cause there is a lot of 215 60vr 16. And it won't be 10 percent less. Speedo would read right and stance of the car would be correct....would you guys buy the rims? Cause I know a wheel manufacturer...

    My 2 cents

My answer would be 'No' - in my opinion, early 911's & 912's only look 'right' on 15in wheels.

If you want to benefit from the greater range of 16in tyres there are plenty of used 16in Fuchs available ...

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

    Ditto what Andy said.
We have gone to great lengths to discuise 16s as 15s.
Some worked and some looked like a saddle on a Billy Goat.
Of course just my humble opinion

Probably never gonna' happen, but we all need to hammer on whoever we know at Porsche to get them to force a current OEM tire supplier make a few good tires in 15" sizes. It's nuts; Porsche is selling 15" Fuchs again through their Classics Department, but there really aren't very many tires in proper sizes available. Go figure that one out. Anyone going to Rennsport should be making this suggestion to the folks from Porsche.

Seems like it's even getting hard to find good 16" tires. . .
