    Rennsport Track Touring

I will be arriving at Laguna Seca in my 924 Carrera GTS with my son. I would LOVE to get him on track, as he knows every turn by heart from Gran Turismo 5. And, he's not a video kid, he just took 7th in the Kid Kart Nationals in St. Louis, so it would really be special for him. I see on the schedule they have alotted time fri, sat and sunday for "VIP/hot laps/parade laps" but no indication how one signs up. I have emailed, I have called, I even sent..A LETTER! nothing. I'm racing myself in the cayman series (they wouldnt take my 914/6 gt), but still can't get a straight answer...HELP!!!

The lunchtime parade laps are all sold out. I think everything is already sold out.

    Hi Mark,
Send me a PM I have 1 extra Saturday Rennsport Parade Lap pass you can have for face value.
At the recent Historics they did have "VIP/hot laps/parade laps" . Mostly it was race cars driven at 7/10 by the drivers that had not had much time on this track.
There prolly will be a couple new Porsches that will give rides to VIPs, slight chance you could get your son on board.
    cheers,
    Mike

    Mark,

You may want to check with Laguna Seca about their minimum age policy. I know that Sears Point does not permit anyone under 16 in the hot pits or on the track. The event sanctioning body which is providing insurance as well may have minimum age requirements too.

Sorry to be a "spoilsport", but wouldn't have liked disappointed my son when he was 7 with something like this.

He finished 7th in the kart championship, I think. Don't know how old he is. Yes, lots of insurance is 18 years old before track rides are allowed.
