Finally have the prototype ready , just doing a few cosmetic touches over the next day or so. They will be available as order only for the first run . the photo below is an example of what they look like , steel construction and produced by a certified welder for quality and strength. In metric sizing except the std thread size to match old and current harness bolts.

Ok , back home with the sample . i will load some photos in the next hour or so.
Price at this point is approx $190US a pair inc P&P to your door . but with the NZ dollar falling i think it will be more like $175US a pair . so let me know if this price is in the ball park.
i can have the first order's shipped Thursday next week.

ok here's the photos , now things to note - the body of the mount is 25mm instead of 24mm . i can turn the bar stock down to match but it add's labour cost and the body needs to be 1mm higher off the base which will be done in production.

Looks like a nice piece. A few questions.
How do the plates mount (over/under) the tray? Are they meant to be seam welded? What is the thread size/pitch? Do you also offer the fasteners?

they should be as per factory which is mount under and through the parcel tray , spot welded into place . this puts all the force upwards on to the tray. the thread is witworth std and matches all the harness bolts old / new . i don't supply the bolts they can be purchased from the race stores.

    Good deal

These are really nice, and reasonably priced. It took quite a bit of effort for me to find some one who was parting out a 68, that was willing to cut them out for me. Once I found a set, tons of spot welds had to be removed from the sheet metal. It was hours of work to clean them up.

My Idea was to put in four not the two as factory, so it would meet PCA rules, (no "Y" harness allowed).
