FS: Recaro Ideal S Reclining Seats

For sale two ultra rare Recaro Ideal S seats, both are right hand seats.

If you know these seats you know they are far more comfortable and rare than the factory sport seats but very period correct for 72/73 cars.

One seat is entirely original unrestored, a few minor flaws, very very nice, $2000 obo

One seat has had the center section replaced by a local shop with the basketweave material sold by Autobahn Interiors. The inside face of the left seat boalster and insides of the top boalsters were replaced at the same time, the sheen of the new material is slightly different from the original. The recovering work was ok but there are a few little things I don't love so I have priced this seat lower then if the new owner wants to take it the next level they can, Sold

The paint on the left side hinge of both seats could use to be repainted.

The seats have Recaro sliders but the back tabs were cut to allow the seat to sit lower in the car.

The pair of mounts are also for sale.

    Thanks for looking

Bump - I'd like to move the seat along or at least sell the mounts to raise funds for my VW Doka project.

    Thanks

    Hi Don

The sliders will stay with the seat. I'd be willing to sell the mounts for $300.

    Hi,
I am curious - being I have a set of these seats in great shape with tilts, brackets, etc, what is a pair worthy of these days? I have ZERO interest in selling them, strictly curious.

Not to high jack this thread, I am a Recaro junkie and was a dealer in the 80's. I am sitting in my display seat as I type this. At 2k, they will not fly out the door. That 's why it is still for sale. I don't think it's fair for me to comment on price on his "for sale" post
