Thread: Please allow me to introduce myself.

Thanks! Here are a few more gratuitous shots:

I used to have Heuer dash timers, but now with my budget a strategically placed $20 vintage stopwatch will have to fill in for the cool factor:

And because I couldn't afford to spend $200+ for the real thing, I made my own factory look-alike radio delete plate:

And lastly, nobody makes a 15" tire with white lettering anymore, so hours spent hand painting these Dunlops:

    Cheers,
    Mike

Beautiful car, Mike and a nice thread you've started!

I'm intrigued by your tire painting. What size and model Dunlops are you running front and back? Deep Sixes on front?

    Congrats!

High praise indeed from friends new and old. I'm humbled.

The tires are 195/55/15 in front and 205/50/15 in the rear. They are Dunlop Direzza's which are basically the only Dunlop performance tire availabe in 15". While there are other choices of manufacturer, I admit I let aesthetics dictate my choice since painting KUMHO in raised white letters would have lost the period ethos I was going for.

    Mike,
That turned out right. A very cohesive, well thought out project and result. Great stance.
