#238--great. I'm slightly later with #744. Exact same interior code #9824. Did you keep the right (passenger) side mirror on?

I did not because I didn't think it showed on my Kartex . When I had the car repainted I took it off because I did not think it was original. I ordered my COA later on and it clearly showed the passenger side view. I am actually going to put it back on

Interesting. Those kind of choices in what to keep and what not are always challenging and fun.

I've seen several cars with right side mirrors. The placement is the tricky piece as the right mirror will not be in the same location on the door as the left mirror if you want it to be useable. Some people don't prefer the look because the mirrors are not symmetric.

I'll bet you could point out to long time 911SC and Carrera owners that their mirrors aren't symmetrical and they will not believe you. I've done it many times.

    Regards

Very cool thread. I noticed the tow truck said Vacaville and I used to live up there. I wish I can find a long hood to restore like this situation. It seems as though it's getting more difficult to find since most have already been discovered or asking a lot of money for it.
