    WTB: NOS Orange Bar Hood Badge

    I'm looking for a New Old Stock or mint orange bar hood badge for my 911.

    The badge either needs to be in new condition or mint with no physical damage, such as cracked enamel. I'm happy to have the badge re-plated if needs be.

    I have an undamaged one that is just nicely aged, bought it before I had seen my cars original one which although not as good will be fine and is original to the car; if of interest PM your email address and I will forward a few photos.

    Badge is in the UK.

    Re plating won't get the finish you want Simon. These aren't supposed to be "shiny". The gold should be very "rich" in color and essentially "flat" in shine. There's old Christophorus magazines from the 60's and early 70's and several of them show the badge up close on new cars. I'll PM you.

    non shiney badges

    Here is a photo of 2 badges that I recently sold. The one on the left is original and this picture was taken before I cleaned it up with soap and water.
    The badge on the right has been replated. The guy that did it for me wanted to polish it before it was plated....and couldn't believe I wanted a " dull" finish.
    I think it turned out pretty good. Mark
