    Post Any alternative to Air Cleaner box on MFI eng

    Does anyone know if there is an alternative to the air cleaner box for MFI engine,
    like a complete K&N filter setup?

    Tom,
    I had these on my 914-6 w/webers way back, are you selling it or anyone else selling these.
    Are replacement filters still available?
    Any input appreciated.

    I agree the sound is nice and it does clean up the engine compartment but it is hard to beat the factory setup for efficiency, effectiveness and maintenance.

    Do you have the later plastic stacs, or the earlier magnesium stacks? The plastic stacks are taller, to the point where none of the rain hats shown will fit. The right side will foul the engine lid grille. About the only alternative for plastic stacks are the ITG foam filters, which are almost completely useless on a street driven car.
