    That is strange - did any MY 70 car still come with 5,5 x 15 fuchs? I thought that was only '68? I always thought as of MY '69 they all came with 6x15 because of the flared fenders on the LWB?

    I don't know if any MY 70 cars came with 5.5 in Fuchs, but I would bet that MY 68 cars still needed 5.5 inch replacement wheels in stock in 1970.

    Could have been a run of 5.5 spare parts inventory that were struck in 69.

    We get all caught up in date codes determining the use when in reality, the date code is just that, the date manufactured. We have to deduce reasonable use from the date codes.

    69 MY to 73 had 6s standard in the Fuchs.
