FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(San Francisco, CA; October 19, 2011) The Porsche Racing Challenge Series will hold it's 10th annual "Porsches at the Point" at Infineon Raceway October 29 and 30 under National Auto Sport Association (NASA) sanction on October 29 and 30. "We are very pleased to have reached this milestone," noted Masuo Robinson, President of the San Francisco Bay Area Porsche Racing Club (PRC), which organizes the Series' events. "We expect a strong turn out and some very competitive racing at this event which marks the end of our tenth season," added Robinson.

The event will feature two all-Porsche racing groups, with practice and qualifying sessions and a sprint race each day. Within these two groups there will be many types of Porsche racing cars organized into classes, so there will be several races-within-races going on at all times

These include two PRC "specification" classes for Porsche 911 racing cars: Spec 911 and GT Limited. Both classes offer exciting and competitive racing with cost-containment in mind, and racers earn points toward season championships. In addition, Porsche 944 and 986/Boxster Spec classes will feature some exciting competition.

The event will also include a group of racers from the Historic Stock Car Racing Series, in authentic retired NASCAR stock cars, along with several other NASA racing groups. NASA Time Trial and High Performance Driver's Education (HPDE) groups are also available for those with appropriate previous track driving experience in Porsches and other types of cars.
