Nice to see these cars driven! That's what they were made for. What have you found to be safe tires?
Looking good George!
Rick, I can tell you that these Yokos are the WRONG tires for snow-

I have found that any low profile winter tire is dangerous. Even a 55 series tire. No sidewall to flex=danger. I think 15" wheels with a 65 or 70 series snow tire is the only ticket.
Rick, you're absolutely right, the skinnier the better, too. (Just using this as an excuse to post some snow photos)
Same problem, George. I used a credit card to clearance my 993TT brakes .03" using 16s, 15s are out of the question. With all the snow here (28'-30'/yr), the truck is a better choice this winter anyway, until I buy a C4, that is.

Raj, wait 'til you see Damon's Paris-Dakar 959! It's amost finished. Yowza, very impressive build.

I don't think the right tires will get any of these cars out, this is our parking lot, every year, and yes, they are all Porsches, 356s and early 911/912s.

This site was hacked, George. It seems some content was lost and unrestorable.

If anyone's up for some mid-winter fun, we do a little ice racing each year in WI and the more 911's that show, the better. Usually, late February. I hope to have the Gray Wolf out this year. Will be on studded General Arctic Altimax (last year's Gislaved Nord-Frost, made in Germany) - best bang for the buck in snows.

Hmmm....those could be good for the D90 wheels to put on the C4 for Lake Mills. I've got the same Nokians that George has for his C4, but studs might be just that more fun for the ice.
