    Hot off the presses

    My restorer, Tony Smetona, reproduced sound deadening floor mats for our '73 coupe. We couldn't find anything that matched the honeycomb pattern originals, so he had a form made and used a heat gun to soften material and then make the imprint. That's him at work in the first picture.
    Second picture shows the finished product in place. Third picture is the "before" in the car when we started.
    It's pretty labor intensive, so I'm not sure it would be commercially viable, but thought some of you would find it interesting.
