Love the color. The front trunk finish does not look like an original texture as well as chassis IDs

    Dealer Description:

    - 27 / 09 / 1965: delivered in Frankfurt, Germany
    - San Jose, California
    - 15 / 11 / 1997 - Belgium
    - Current owner

This delightful example was among those in the first full year of production—denoted by the chassis number—and left the factory finished in Stone Grey with a Black leatherette and pepita interior. The only options fitted were the catacolor verglasung and a very unique factory sunroof. This car is known to be one of the very first examples having this factory option!

The car was delivered new in Frankurt and went to the United States later in its life. The car came back to Europe and into Belgium in 1997. The current owner carried out the extensive restoration between 2014 and 2016, sourcing the correct period parts from Porsche specialists across Europe. Today the car is in perfect condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity and Kardex.

Only some 75 kilometres have been covered since the restoration's completion and this beautiful Porsche 911 is presented in commensurately excellent condition. The car comes with Belgian papers but is currently not registered; it also has its spare wheel and toolkit (not shown in pictures). It is a matching number car, eligible for multiple prestigious events.

The lovely and extremely rare color combination and factory sunroof make this SWB 911 the perfect example for your car collection.

    BaT Description:

This 1967 Porsche 911 is one of 718 soft-window Targas produced for the model year and was originally delivered to Volkswagen Pacific in Culver City, California. The seller acquired the car in 2000, reportedly from the original owner, and it is finished in Blutorange with a removable roof panel and a folding rear window. The interior is trimmed in black leatherette, and power comes from a 2.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes 15″ polished Fuchs-style wheels and four-wheel disc brakes, and recent maintenance included a replacement alternator and timing chain tensioner. This 911 soft-window Targa is now offered with a copy of the Kardex, a letter from the first owner, service records since 2000, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The body is finished in Blutorange (R 2002) and features bumper guards with rubber inserts, a removable Targa roof panel, and a soft folding rear window section. The seller notes a chip on the driver’s door, that the right-front fender has been refinished, and that the weatherstripping is worn in areas. 15″ polished Fuchs-style wheels are fitted in place of the factory perforated chrome wheels and are wrapped in Kuhmo tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs.

The interior is trimmed in black leatherette with matching carpets and door panels, a black dash pad, and brushed dash trim. Equipment includes a tri-band push-button radio, aftermarket speakers in the door panels, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The seat cushions are said to be worn. Factory instrumentation consists of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, gauges for fuel level and temperature, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles and is believed by the seller to have rolled over. The seller has added approximately 5k miles in 20 years.

The 2.0-liter flat-six is equipped with Weber carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Service performed in May 2020 is said to have included the replacement of the alternator, fan belt, battery, timing chain tensioner, and timing chain cover gasket. The engine stamping *911454* matches the engine number noted on the Kardex. The provided Kardex copy shows factory colors and options as well as the engine and transmission numbers. The seller has provided a walk-around video with the engine idling, as well as a driving video.

    BaT Description:

This 1968 Porsche 911 coupe was completed on July 12, 1968, near the end of short wheelbase production. Finished in Burgundy Red over black leatherette, the car was acquired by the current owner in July 1976 from its second owner. Power is provided by a carbureted 2.0L flat-six paired with a Type 901/05 five-speed manual transaxle. Features include front seat headrests, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, a collapsible antenna, and 15″ replica Fuchs wheels. A valve adjustment and tune-up were performed in December 2018, and Weltmeister oil return tubes were also installed at that time. This 911 is now offered on behalf of the current owner by his son-in-law with an owner’s manual, tool roll, Porsche Production Specifications certificate, four steel wheels, additional spare parts, and a clean Indiana title. Delivered from the factory in Champagne Yellow (16153), the Karmann-built body was repainted in silver in the early 1970s during previous ownership. Floorpan repairs were carried out during current ownership in the mid 1980s, and a new right-front fender and new front bumper were also installed along with new rear quarter panels and inner and outer rockers. The car was repainted at that time in its current Burgundy Red, a Porsche color that was available in 1968. The current owner has highlighted dings and other imperfections on a diagram.

The car is equipped with front and rear bumperettes, as well as “sugar scoop” headlight rings. An exterior walk-around video is available, and a video of the car cruising on the highway can be viewed. The 15″ replica Fuchs wheels are mounted with 185/70 BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. A set of body-colored steel wheels is included in the sale along with polished hubcaps, two Michelin XZX tires, and one Comp T/A tire, as can be seen in the gallery. The front suspension was raised before the car was acquired by the previous owner, who indicated that the original owner had ordered the vehicle to use in hill climb races in Pennsylvania.

The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette upholstery over salt-and-pepper carpeting. Interior equipment includes headrests for front occupants, aluminum dash trim, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. A carpeted dash cap is fitted and can be seen removed in the gallery, along with a tear in the upholstery on the upper, outer bolster of the driver seat. A four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, including a central 8k-rpm tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer, as well as a clock and gauges for fuel level and engine temperature. 83k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, which is said to work intermittently. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.0L flat-six (*3281503*) was rated for 130 horsepower from the factory. A new distributor was installed by the seller while bypassing the air pump due to a noisy bearing, though the pump is still fitted. Weltmeister extending oil return tubes were installed in December 2018, and a valve adjustment, tune-up, and oil change were also performed at that time. Cold-start and engine-running videos have been provided. The Type 901/05 five-speed manual transaxle (3282631) features an aluminum case and is believed to have been special ordered by the original owner. Engine and transaxle stampings can be seen up close in the gallery along with additional underside photos. A video tour of the underside is viewable.

The Porsche Production Specifications certificate lists the production date, factory color scheme, and optional equipment. Spare parts and extras that come with the car are pictured individually in the gallery and include the following:

    Factory tool roll
    Owner’s manual
Four steel wheels, three with tires
    Chrome center caps
    Set of 20 lug nuts
    Factory air filter housing

    Dealer Description:

CPR Classic is delighted to offer this 1967 Porsche 911 finished in its factory color combination of Polo Red over a black vinyl interior. This 911 is a beautifully kept example throughout that retains original metal and is entirely numbers matching, including color combinations.

CPR first acquired this short-wheelbase 911 in 2011. The car then underwent a sympathetic restoration with CPR, which addressed minor paintwork, interior work, and a complete mechanical refresh to ensure the car remained in peak performing condition and presentation. The car was then sold to a long time CPR client who kept the car for over four years while adding only limited mileage in this time frame. Our client then traded the vehicle in to CPR towards the purchase of a long-wheelbase 911.

Upon its arrival in 2015, the car was thoroughly inspected and found to be in virtually the same condition that it had been delivered in originally from CPR. During this stay at CPR, a lovely stainless steel sport-exhaust was added before the car was sold to another CPR client in the Southern California area. Since then, it has resided in a prominent collection for the past three-plus years being driven sparingly, before being acquired by CPR again recently to be offered for sale.

This 911 is an example that CPR has maintained and cared for, for nearly ten years while living with several fastidious owners. The car is unmatched in terms of drivability and presents as a wonderfully well-sorted street-concours level car. This car will take you on any canyon drive that you desire, and will also shine on the PCA lawn.

If you are in the market for a spirited 911 that does everything well, this is a must-see and experience example.

    Dealer Description:

We are pleased to offer on behalf of one of our clients this outstanding Porsche 911 Coupe. For many years, 2shores is offering selected first grade examples of air-cooled Porsches and other collectible automobiles. This outstanding, fully restored 911 Coupe is one of those special cars!

1966 Porsche 911 Coupe, all numbers matching including date coded chrome wheels. This early example, built in December of 1965 has spent all of its life in dry and sunny California. It has its original California “Black Plate” license and was featured in Excellence Magazine in October 2013. The current mileage showing on the odometer of 58,134 is believed to be correct.

The car was sold new in Carmel California and had thee owners before it was taken off the road in 1981 and stored in a barn in Northern California. The current owner and Porsche aficionado acquired it in 2008 and commissioned a complete nut and bolt restoration. The body and paintwork has been done by renowned Porsche specialist Dink Farmer in Lakeport California. The car was remarkably rust-free and all original body panels and floors of the car were retained. Repainted to its original Irish Green (6606) the car looks absolutely stunning with perfect gaps and shut lines all around.

The numbers matching motor and transaxle were completely rebuilt and restored and have less than 1,000 miles on them since the rebuild. The engine work was done by Alan Klingen of the Stable in San Francisco. The original Solex carbs were restored by Solex specialist Harry Bieker. The engine, while completely original on the outside and retaining its two liter displacement, was upgraded internally with S-heads, Elgin cams, and JE pistons and cylinders, and produces close to 200 hp on the dyno. All documentation and paperwork for the work as well as a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is present.

The interior of the car was finished in black leather and German naugahyde by Autos International and is flawless, including a correct Blaupunkt radio and headrests. All gauges were restored by Palo Alto Speedometer.

The car looks, runs and drives like a dream. The brakes, shocks and suspension are all new or rebuilt. A rear anti-roll bar was added as were larger front torsion bars creating more stability when the car is driven in a spirited fashion.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fully sorted and very early Porsche 911 with all the unique features only the early 65 and 66 cars offer, such as wooden steering wheel and dashboard inserts and the slanted 911 emblem. The car is ready to be used and or shown and needs absolutely nothing. It comes with historic FIA papers, making the car eligible for most prestigious European touring, rally and race events.

Complete tool kit, jack and spare included. Please study all the photos closely to evaluate the condition of this car. Located in El Dorado Hills, CA. Pre purchase inspections welcomed.

    Auction Description:

    - Ultra rare '300' chassis numbers were the first few 911s off the line in March 1965
    - #300723 dates from mid-March 1965 and was built in left-hand drive destined for California
    - According to its Porsche COA, it was finished in Signal Red (6407) with Black Leatherette and Peptia inlays, Webasto heater and Blaupunkt “Frankfurt” Radio
    - Imported by our vendor from the USA around 30 years ago and UK registered SPY 271C
    - Used regularly up until three years ago when it was put into dry storage as part of our vendor's collection
    - Although running well prior to retirement, should be considered a light restoration or recommissioning project
    - Sensibly guided opportunity to own a very desirable, really early 911 in its purest form

We can glean from the Porsche COA that #300723 rolled off the line in mid-March 1965 resplendent in a coat of Signal Red (6407) with a smart interior in black leatherette with Peptia cloth inlays. It was fitted from new with a Webasto petrol heater (P1018) and a Blaupunkt “Frankfurt” Radio before being despatched to California where its first owner would have parted with around $6,500. Until its arrival on these shores around 30 years ago little is know of this little Porsche's adventures in the US but certainly, since then it has been in the care of its current owner in North Yorkshire, for most of those years as a daily driver but for the last few it's been kept cosy in his heated garage amongst the rest of his collection.

Although running well prior to its retirement, the car needs to be considered as a recommissioning or possibly restoration project. It sits well and generally looks quite smart although in need of some detailing. The car hadn't run for three years and there was evidence of a small oil leak when we collected it so the decision was taken not to start it so that aspect will need some consideration. In addition to all the regular owner's documentation, there is a copy of a magazine article featuring SPY 271C and indeed that attractive registration will remain with the car.

It is incredibly rare to find a first-year SWB 911 so unmolested and free of updates and modifications, making this example ideal to be gently returned to the purity of form that wowed the citizens of Stuggart as it rolled out of the factory in early 1965. Alternatively, if that's not on your agenda, there are a number of suitable (pre-1966) motor racing championships for which the car is eligible including events at Goodwood and Monaco and particularly the Peter Auto SWB 2.0-litre Cup for which SPY 271C would be perfect.

    Seller's Description:

I am selling an early 03/1965 Porsche 911 (Number 723).

VIN 300723 with like-for-like engine swap (not matching numbers, but identical engine from 1965 911 2.0).
The car was produced in the very first series of cars built in 1965. These early cars had many of the unusual idiosyncrasies that the 1964 901's had, which makes the early batch of 911s so different from the cars produced from April onwards.
The car retains all of these distinguishing features. It was originally supplied to Competition Cars in Culver City / LA, California and in 1990 was sold to famous Porsche collector Lord Mexborough in England (still registered in England, but located in Leipzig / D). Lord Mexborough used the car as his daily driver. The car was placed in storage in 2017 and sold in February 2020. I had planned to completely restore the car but had to change plans due to personal reasons. The car was brought to Germany and is being stored at classic car specialist Classic Lounge in Leipzig, where it can be viewed (call me or contact Classic Lounge for appointments).

The car would make a great rally or race car, but being such an early car with all details I would rather like to see it fully restored into a concours road car.

    Features:
    VIN: 300723
Engine No: 908107 (Not the original engine. This engine is a like-for-like swap with a 2.0l from the July-Sep 1965 production batch and thus c.6 months younger than the car, the current engine matched the original engine in all specifications)
