    Hella 128 reflectors

I have been searching for an hour and haven't found a thread regarding restoring Hella 128's. I just bought some period lights and found one of the reflectors to be just rust beyond use. With the lights being reproduced, is anyoone selling parts? Is there any source for replacement reflectors?

Try going online and searching for re-silvering, mirror repair. There are companies that restore vintage headlights, they should be able to restore yours, no problem.

+1 for the resilvering. New reflectors are uber rare. I've been thinking of trying the following company for my own project.

OK, so Steve's apparently does a real silver plating process that is more what older cars (30's etc) had used. I haven't contacted the shop below, but they are supposed more modern in their technique.

My reflector is well beyond resilvering or recoating. It is toast. I was surprised it was so bad. The chrome housing and bezel looks like they will clean up to an accptable driver level.Name: IMG00081-20111104-1539.jpg
