    1968 911 for Sale

Nice 911 available that needs nothing to have some fun with! This car is very strong mechanically. Engine case is original - I matched numbers with those provided by PCNA. VIN: 11830021. Car was purchased by me in 2011 from a classic car club, who went through nearly the entire car over a 5 year period. Have tons of receipts, in outlining 2007 gearbox rebuild, rebuilt the motor making the all-important carrera tensioner upgrade and switching to SSI headers (total bill for gearbox and engine rebuild was over $12,000 from Formula Motorsports in New York). Over the winter of 2009, the car was professionally stripped down to refurbish the interior and exterior, substituting Continental Orange for the original Grand Prix White. Inspired by Singer 911, the seats were redone with orange stitching and grommets. The result is a striking car that gets attention and thumbs up every where it goes. It is a joy to drive, it makes the sweet sounds of a vintage LeMans race car and is strong and reliable. I've put about 1000 miles on the car, and would be comfortable sending this car anywhere without issue. During the cosmetic restoration, the previous owner also purchased upgraded suspension bushings, turbo tie-rod ends and all the necessary parts to refurbish / upgrade the suspension. I've had the car gone over by Beek's Auto in Gardiner NY, who said he would not bother with the upgrades as he didnt see any front end issues. These parts will be included in the sale (over $1,600 in parts).

    The Bad:
While a lot of work has been put into this car over the years, the car does get driven. The paint itself, is beautiful, it shines nicely and feels nice to the touch. However, some of the underlying repairs are showing through. Further to that, it has received a few nicks and dings over the years which are described in greater detail below and in the pictures. The car is a driver, not a show car, but a very sharp driver at that. While there are numerous flaws, it get's positive feedback everywhere it goes. (Please note, the first three photos were taken by a professional photographer when the paint was fresh about 3 years ago).

    Now for the details:
