    Scheel Sport Seats

I have a set of Scheel sport seats, and the tag that is on the side. Anyone recognize the year and model? They are covered in black courderoy, and the backs are vynal. The model is probably on the label, but it dosen't seem to tie into any of the model names or numbers that I see thrown around.

Hi Mike, this is a folding back 501 or 502.
I would date it late 70s - but only because of the address in Ditzingen.
Could you post some pictures of the hinges please.
    Cheers

    Hi Mike,

I´m not Uli but seats are late 70s to early 80s. At least they are before 1988 when Greiner took over Scheel-Mann.

    Regards, Lars.

I would say that the seats are from after October 3rd 1990 since it says made in Germany. If the seats were from before 1990, they would say West Germany. West Germany was called and labeled as such from May 1949 until reunification on October 3rd, 1990.

Those are generally referred to as Scheel Mann 500 or 501's I believe, very popular with BMW CS coupe crowd since they were standard fair in Alpina
    versions of the E9.
I have for some reason lost out on a few offerings of these very style seats and would be interested if they're both in this condition,my CS has blue
cord but i'd live with it..Bert
Also this style has been in production since early '70s what the production date of this particular set might best be determined by the build tag

With the reunification we got new zipcodes (5-Digit) in the early 90s
