    Wicked 70mm Crank

I made two of these, one of which is going in a customer's engine.

I have decided to sell my other one.

This is a super lightweight, 70.0mm-stroke, custom ground crankshaft made from a Standard/Standard Non-Counterweighted early 66mm Crank. It has also been fully cross-drilled and grooved on the center main bearing for racing applications.

It runs standard main bearings for a 1965-1977 2.0/2.2/2.4/2.7/Euro 3.0/3.0 Turbo case.

It uses GT3 Rod Bearings (Standard items) 996-103-121-81 $139 / set (Pelican) . Rod bearing diameter is 53mm as per 911SC/GT3.

    It has been custom ground to lengthen the stroke to 70.0mm (NOT 70.4mm). A 2.7 is 2672cc instead of 2687cc, a '2.4' is 2328cc instead of 2341cc...etc. See formula (bore in mm / 20)^2 * 3.1416 * 6 * (stroke=70.0mm / 10) = ___ cc

Connecting Rod choices - standard 911SC 3.0L connecting rod for cheap, or GT3 Titanium Pankl Connecting Rods (all versions) drop on to this crank.

It is much stronger than the standard 2.4/2.7 crankshaft, because the flyweights are thicker. OK to run to ~9000rpm, possibly lower depending on other component selection.

    Available at $1,500 shipped.

    ttt..............for any new viewers?

It might sound a little complicated, but, if you are building any six-bolt engine, 1965-1977, this is one fantastic choice for a crankshaft.

Let me know if you have any questions?

    thanks,
    Scott
