    FS: RHD 1973 911E Targa

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Porsche-9...item45fe640771

Worth saving (in my opinion) - one of less than a 100 built (and who knows how few of those are left). Only year made etc.

Ps. Yes, I'm somewhat biased as a factory RHD fan.
    Cheers, Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
They are rare indeed and as you know they are great cars. I do know of two more in deep dark storage awaiting restoration so there will be a few more on the road in years to come.
    Here is one of them

I think in 73 they called it Oxford Blue. Great colour

Code 326 -> Oxford blue = Dalmation blue = Seablau

Oddly enough, the same colour as the targa Alan helped me purchase. Everyone that has seen it comments favourably on the colour - particularly the slight purple that emerges as the light fades.

Back on track - anyone bidding?

    Hi All,

I have one under restoration at the moment, some might say it was a bit far gone, but it is only metal so it can be repaired, as Alan.uk knows all too well, you can do quite a lot with very little. I have a thread going on the Pelican forum.

    http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ct-rescue.html

I have some details of the car's past, but no engine number.

I guess I should have the same thread running here as well??

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Regards
    Chris

    Fantastic work Chris.

I have a loathing of yellow cars but signal yellow has just enough orange in it to make the grade (my rally car has signal yellow bumpers). That would be my vote when the metal work is done.

Ps. What shop is working on your car?

    Hi Ryan,

Kranky Kustoms in Newcastle are performing the work for the panel and paint. Whilst not Porsche specialists they were the only shop I approched that gave me any sense of confidence, so I got them to give it shot. The rest really were not interested. They have been very good and won't take short cuts, as you can see from the pics.

    regards
    Chris
