Thread: 911 Vehicle Weight

  1. #61
Final recorded weight of my 1972 Group 4 car.

2150 lbs. with 55 litres of fuel, 9 litres of oil, gearbox oil, second battery, and factory passenger seat. Using the vintage Recaro racing bucket on the passenger side and without the second battery the weight should be close to 2100 lbs. or so. Dry weight would have been approximately 2000 lbs. Weight distribution at 61/39. We hoped for better but didn't quite get there.

    471 vs 472, early vs late, light-weight this, thinner-that, etc, usw, blah-blah-blaaaaaahhhhhhh

    Hhh

Really-REALLY like to get some RS pilots to just put their cars on an actual scale --- see what's-really-what . . .

    . . . 'cause --- without an actual number? . . .

Sorry I don’t believe that weight of the 911r is anywhere close to being accurate

Not only is it far below anything else reported it would imply a 48/52% weight distribution which we know was wrong. The 67S has 41/59 for example.
