    Lightbulb WTB: WRX Wagon

I'm in the process of shopping for a new car and since I've always liked these cars I figure now is the time to own one. Unfortunately, these things are so awesome that I'm having a difficult time finding good ones; the owners are loyal as hell and super reluctant to let them go.

And so I turn to the community. I am sure a few of you guys have or have had one of these and if you're on this forum I assume you're a member of a Subaru forum as well. Seeing as how I'm not too up on where on the internet I should go - there're a lot of Subie forums - I am asking for a bit of help fromthe community. Plus, I know there're a few bloodhounds lurking on the forum that love the hunt.

Ideally I'd like to find a 2002-2004 WRX wagon in Blue ... preferably with the OZ wheels but I'm not too picky on that issue ... needs to be a manual and needs to be bone stock or as unmolested as possible because I'm not a punk kid anymore (although my father seems to disagree with me there) and need a mature grocery getter.

All that said, I wouldn't be opposed to a quality STI, either; but, again, it has to be adult owned and unmolested.

Thanks all, I appreciate any leads/guidance I get.

    Marco,

I would go with STI just beware of second gear syncro issue's (sounds like a 915 huh and the gearboxes have internal gear oil pumps) also they have valve issues that leed to low compression and lean codes if they aren't adjusted on a regular basis.

You mean the STI sedan? I'm considering that, too, but I'm a wagoneer at heart...

Go old skool! Check this out this Rastafarian version, complete with front & rear handbrakes, 'vintage' studded snow tires, and a bag of weed in the glove box

Or maybe a high ground clearance Legacy:

    Or maybe an STi Forester:

    Just trying to help.

THAT is right up my alley, Curt!

Tony, I have to take the motor out to adjust the valves?!?! I might as well buy a 4-cam Carrera.

The STi Forester was actually a really cool car. It was a SRT team car with some tweeks I'm sure.
