South African Registration Number FJD477GP for 1969T - Information Required

The Registration mark for my car in SA was FJD477GP, do you know of any possible way how I find out if the car had different registration
numbers throughout its life in SA, i think in the UK this is possible with a charge?...... does anyone know if this is possible in South Africa?

Im hoping there are further Reg numbers that may help track valuable information about the Car, or has anybody got any info about the CAR.

    Please help, Lee

Also owning a 1969T from South Africa (119100286)...
if you get a copy of the "Certificate of Registration in Respect of a Motor Vehicle" (Form RS1/RC1), it will state the last 3 licence numbers on it (a required field)
    cheers Paul

    Thanks Paul,

I know who had it last but the guy is not too helpful... would this have been handed into the SA vehicle department or would it be with the last owner?
    thanks Lee

Lee - should be with the last owner.
In some cases, there's a circular cutout (like the UK Road Tax) ... but the rest of the paper is retained.
Sorry - don't know how to contact the SA vehicle department ... there isn't an address on the form
    cheers Paul
