    Webasto Aux Blower

I've got a Webasto aux blower... not the heater... but an auxiliary blower. Does anyone have any pictures as to how these were installed in the smugglers box? How the lines were tapped into, etc? Anything would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gene

    Here you go.

I'd not seen one of these until recently. This should get you started. This was in a 1968 912. Thanks.

Those are cool, and I kinda wish I had one in my '68. The only bad thing is that I think the air only blows out the defroster vents, so that kinda sucks for getting good airflow on the face in summer.

Looks like it sucks from the smuggler box shift tunnel hole, and then blows into the defroster vents on the right. That left hose is a little goofy, where does that go??

This is all I know. Thanks.

It looks like these have serial #'s like the heaters. Any chance of getting serial # and VIN pairings?

Just like JT912's, these pics are also from a '68 912. The installation has never been touched from new. On the ID plate, the Type # reads 12004. Hah, fortunately there's no mouse nest lurking underneath it. My car's VIN# is 12803390, picked up at the factory April '68.

Blower knob is on the right with the propeller looking graphic and the tag numbers.
