I'm sure you guys have seen this...

    I know it's not a 911 but it's not really a 912 anymore either.

The chances of me owning a a real 911 from my birth year are probably nil...just don't have the money right now and the way they are appreciating I never will.

This seems like a reasonable facsimile. I say seems because while it looks somewhat correct I don't know enough to recognize any glaring errors or potential problems. I do know that dropping a 72 2.2 into a 67 912 can be...problematic.

Please discuss and opine...I appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    jl

    Hot-rodded 912's are cool with me... if I owned a plain-Jane '63 Falcon I'd wanna HiPo 289 in it. What's the rodder's credo?

The VIN is what it is. If someone builds something personal that blows their skirt up from a "lesser" platform, more power to 'em.
I don't think of cars like this as facimiles at all, and problematic only if not done right. There's nothing wrong with proper hotrods.

There's nothing problematic at all. It's a straightforward conversion done successfully countless times. I wouldn't be hesitant at all if it checks out from a PPI.
