Recaro rallye seats - amazing what shows up in NZ

After my last find (recaro sport seats ) i wondered what would be next , well this week these came up on a local auction site hidden away (not listed correctly) . I was hoping for a clean early win but a friend also found the listing , end result though now on the way to me.
These have race history in the rally seen ( which i will investigate soon ) and are out of a works rally car.
    what next? who know's

I agree. These might be my favorites as well.

As an aside, I'm looking for a pair of the square-bucket Recaros with the hinged backrest for my 74 project. A pair sold here not too long ago but I don't know what they're called and they don't come up for sale too often.

    EX works rally car history

So to continue the info on these , the drivers seat has the following inscribed on the base and the details are that it seem to have been installed in LAR 800p which was a works rally rs escort driven by rodger clark (who ever that is?) . From the net i have this picture of that car and it appears the headrest sticking up ?

So it beggs the question , if they did come from that car are they worth more than they would be as everyday recaro rallye seats ?

No, they are no more valuable than if they had come from a Porsche. However, if they came out of, say, a factory works Porsche and their history was known, documented, unbroken and provable I'd say that could add a premium to a set of seats...but I've never seen that happen.

As for your answer to my question above, no, not those seats you posted. Raj knew what I was after. . Thanks for the link, Raj, I responded to the thread.
