    Aluminum Trailing Arm Date Codes

Does anyone know whether the date code on the bottom of an aluminum trailing arm is listed as 'month - day - year', or 'day - month - year'? Examples: 11 - 7 - 73,
    8 - 11 - 75.

Early homologation papers filed by Porsche with the FIA for the RS were dated as '27.10.72, which is obviously day.month.year. The question is did they use this format for the trailing arms? I think Europeans generally use this format, which is different from the US...month.day.year. Check your impact bumper cars to see what you find. Thanks.

I think it's a big stamp of the year in a circle with a pip for the month

    I have 3 different sets and each has three numbers each one in a circle (11 8 75) or (7 11 73) or (8 7 82).

    Mike:

At least we get the steering wheel on the 'correct side' (not the right side)!

Gib..........If it is not on the "right" side doesn't that mean it is on the "wrong" side rather than your wild assumption that it is on the "correct side"

BAH!! They are both wrong, it should be most significant to least: year, month, day, hour, minute, second. Then it would not be cause for confusion at all.

Does that mean that you guys drive on the "wrong" side of the road?
