    Real 2.8 RSR for sale

Real RSR for sale, one of 49
    (no affiliation)
    http://www.elevenparts.com/index2.php?f=cars

This is one of only 49 2.8 RSR 300 HP race cars, but for sure one of the best surviver. The car never had any rust or accident damages, it was never converted or updated into 3L or even 935 body. The first owner raced it from 1973 to 1975. He sold it to the present owner in 1975. It was used very little and driven as street car for a short time, then it was put into storage.
For the -smart- RSR chassis numbers observers, the car has vanished from earth. Some, no names, UK chassis number jockey thought it was a good idea to use that chassis number for a fake until he was told by the owner that it was not a good idea.
Now, the real car is available.

    yes

and anyone know what chassis number it is?

I think i can narrow it down to one of 2 or 3 but this intrigues me " Some, no names, UK chassis number jockey thought it was a good idea to use that chassis number for a fake until he was told by the owner that it was not a good idea."

My guess would be #0714 - the Greek car. Only a guess though. Don't know what the story is about the "fake".

That was my #1 pick as well as I have this noted against it "registered S-AJ 9233 BP Green and decals rallied" and the historic photo certainly has BP livery (at least to an extent)

Is this an attempt to try to pay off some of the Greek national debt?

the Greek car is also very interesting in that it has standard suspension, I thought all RSR's left the factory with coil-overs, but apparently not.

How do you know this, and do you mean that the Greek car has long rear trailing arms with the standard position (like normal cars , not moved inward) shock mounts ?

And you are speaking of this thread subject white car , offered at Eleven ?

'73s were torsion bar cars...some had long rear arms.
