    WTB: 85 liter plastic tank

Bummer; I cracked the plastic tank on my car at the bottom fitting. Even though it is protected by a skid plate I bottomed out someplace and must have compressed the skid plate into the tank cracking it. Ugh. Anybody have a nice one for sale? Are they being reproduced by someone? Any help or leads are appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure you cant repair it? How bad and where is the crack? I had a small crack right at both fittings. After clean up, reassembled with a teflon sealant and new fittings and washers. No leaks. It's been three years and holding.

Thanks guys, I was thinking the same thing. Why not, I've got nothing to lose. I haven't seen the tank since my mechanic called with the news so I don't know how big/bad the crack is. I saw this Epoxy Sealer Kit from Caswell; anybody have experience with this? http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/epoxygas.htm. It seems worth a try??

It sounds like you fixed yours externally Steve.

Nick, Scott Hendry repaired a tank for me a while back. The repair is still holding some 4-6 years later...give him a call.

I've used JB weld with very good, long term results. and the color is a near-perfect match. prep is everything.
