    Steering wheel resto.

I have just purchased this 380mm wheel and it needs a complete refurb can anyone make a recommendation. FWIW wheel is currently in Hawaii and I am in Australia, I thought perhaps I could get it sent to someone in the States before it comes to me. Thanks in advance

What wheel is it that you are looking for? I have 3 early wheels and one is leather wrapped.

Just an FYI... Tony at Autobahn does an excellent job re-wrapping the leather on these wheels (either stock or fat grip), he'll do it with the exposed ends around the spokes either tucked in (not correct, but some like it that way) or edge exposed (correct). Personally I send him my wheels with spokes already repainted to my desired finish.

    regards,
    Eric

Did anyone try the Pelican DIY-kit? Difficult? Good results?

    Hi,

Mikael, for us in Europe I recommend www.cartex.de which made two steering wheels for me. They look perfect to me, and the cost is only 180 Euro. Considering mittelmotor sells the refurb kit for 100 Euro, and the work Cartex performed is perfect, I think it is very cheap.

    Regards,

    Johan
