    Anybody renting?

    I am in the process of building a 3.2 SS and just found out the Cam tool I need is on backorder till February. Anybody have the P9191 late style cam holder I can rent/borrow to disassemble my engine???

    Joe, I have the tool if you need it.

    btw, if you are just disassembling the late hex style bolt cams you can pull them using an impact wrench and a flywheel lock. They should easily succumb to the quick force and not stress the chains.

    Now, you will need the tool for setting the cam timing after the build.

    Thanx for the tip. I hooked up w Tom Frisardi who lives nearby and has offered to lend me his.

    I got the heat exchangers off today and looked down the exhaust of number 4 and this is what I saw. Also noticed there is no stud in the the number 6 which may explain all the oil...

    UHHH Where did the other half of the valve guide go?

    I suspect the tolerance is a bit "loose".
