P2O Moving to Granville, Ohio Saturday July 28th

We are moving P2O to Granville for 2012 which is 20 minutes east of Columbus, Ohio. the event will be Saturday July 28th. After 7 years we felt that the event was getting a bit stale. Most events like this get moved every year, such as the Parade or Escape. We also did not have a central hotel as a gathering place for everyone. This is a big social event and this should make the event even better. Granville is also a college town but with a more adult environment. There are many more great places to eat, more shops, museums, golf and places to tour. We are planing the Friday night get together at the Granville Inn which is an awesome place. PCNA has expressed interest in coming also. The streets are wider and can park 4 cars across. It should be a big improvement over past events. As far as them using the old event name we have trade marked the P2O name and I can also tell you that the word Porsche cannot be in any event name such as Porsches2granville. The Lawyers have spoken on this issue. I realize not everyone will be pleased with moving the event at first but give it a try. We have made several trips To Granville to plan this event and we are confident it will be a big improvement. It was proving to be very difficult to deal with certain individuals in Oxford, in fact the event was cancelled by the people in Oxford just 3 weeks prior to the event. We cannot risk this again. Look for more information in the next month.

Thank You Ron Thomas Chairperson P2O

good work Ron! I am sure your efforts will prove exceedingly good results. Granville is an awesome town and will make an excellent back drop for this event.

Are you doing it at the Bryn Du or on the streets?

Thanks for the kind words. The Bryn Du is a great place our Club had the 40th anniversary party there but for a full day event the down town streets work better. There are shops and many places to eat and drink such as Brews, that place must have 50 taps and 200 beers. You will be able to have a great lunch and a cold one while looking at your car in the show. That in my opinion is what makes P2O so much fun! Thanks Ron

You do excellent work, it makes good sense to move. It will open up many Central Ohio people and still be close to the old area of Oxford for the Cincy people. Oxford was a nice venue but as you say very little lodging options. I like the 4 vehicle line up on the streets verse the 2 car in Oxford. Never been to Granville but sounds very nice.
