Bosch H4 European headlight assemblies on a SWB?

Listings that I've seen for the Bosch H4 European headlight units suggest they only fit '68-'86 model years. Why would they not fit a SWB?

Would the stock SWB headlight relays work or do those need to be changed out?

Should the stock wiring be beefed up?

    Thanks!

    Neil,

I haven't had any mounting issues. H-4's, H-1's, they all fit, or at least they fitted for me!

+1. I had H4s on my old SWB with the original wiring. No issues... at least no issues with the headlights

My UK 67 (April production) has H4s, while I can't be 100% sure
they are original equipment they look as though they've been with
    the car all along.

The listing may say that because H-1's weren't normally fitted before 68 (of course "your mileage may vary" ) as we know Porsche does on occasion, witness Andy's reply. The only fitting problems I've seen are trying to put 67 and earlier U.S.A. seal beam assemblies into 68 and later buckets. You need to remove the 4 mounting tabs to fit them in.
