    Feeler FS - Running 2.0L 911E motor - 1969 Serial number

Hey guys, I may be interested in selling/swapping the motor in my car. It's number 6290134.

For me, a lot of it comes down to price. I'd like to build a nice 2.7 but only if I can get a reasonable amount for the 2.0 Liter. I don't have any history on it, it runs very well and does not use any oil. It does leak some oil when sitting.

If I were to sell it, I don't know what a reasonable price is. I called around a few places and one place said it's not worth much and they'd give me about $1,500-2,000 for it, another place said for the right buyer it could be $7-10k.

So, would anyone here be interested in it, or perhaps have more info on how much it's worth? I'd be happy to have a mechanic look at it, etc as well.

    Thanks
    Ryan

Your engine seems to have the pressure fed tensioners. It's an E but w/ Zenith's.

To help a buyer I think it helps if a leak down test (and compression test) is done so you know a little bit more about the health of the engine. Also selling it while still in the car would be a plus if the seller is local.

    I would think $1500 - $2500 depending on how good it's.

Boy that engine looks familiar....welcome to ESR Ryan.

This is my old car and I can confirm that the engine is very strong. I would say it's worth $2-2.5k as is. Good luck with the sale Ryan.
