FS Special 380mm "RS" RSR" Extended Hub Thick Grip Steering Wheel plus Bowtie

    Needing a better turn-in folks,

This "ad" is for one special extended hub steering wheel as pictured: Here is a very nice "RS" "RSR" steering wheel with beautiful hand stitched thick grip, ~3 3/4", ~95mm, luxurious leather. As OEM, cross stitching on wheel and baseball stitch on short spoke pieces. This wheel is specially made using Cornpanzer's (on this list) "extended hub kit" and an OEM 380mm wheel. Note the wheel appears thicker than actual due to photo perspective but see how now you have plenty of room for your fingers (sorry for dusty dash). This is perfect for moving the wheel away from the dash, especially needed for SWB cars but good for LWB too. Price in US including shipping and handling $900. Outside of US price with shipping and handling is $975. If you'd like the restored bowtie/butterfly which includes original leather Porsche emblem as pictured, please add $450 Available for immediate shipping. Please email directly to DrRSR@aol.com.
    Thanks.

PS Please pass on to your friends as, generally, I only post on this knowledgeable list.
Edit: I've added a picture of an identical wheel I made that has been on a VERY NICE LWB car for some time now.

    That's a Sweet Set-up!

This is just my non-expert two cents, but that is one PRETTY set-up! It's beautifully crafted, elegant looking and very sporty! Is it my imagination, or does the smaller diameter make the spoke angle seem more pronounced?

I also like the dash spacing with the extended hub. Cornpanzer does some good work.

Not to take anything away from the set-up, but this is the first time I've ever noticed a batwing/bowtie with a small-diameter sport wheel, and it looks a little 'unusual' to me. I thought I'd read a previous thread that suggested the bowtie/batwing was not preferred for 'racing' applications because stuff (like gloves) got hung up on it. The proportions of the batwing are good, but I'm used to seeing a sport wheel with a hockey puck, or is that just my imagination, again?

    Again, just my two cents.

I'm not necessarily recommending, or not, this setup (it does look cool JMHO) but I have a restored batwing to sell and not a hockey puck ;)
To your point, here is the setup you're talking about, in this case on an actual RSR wheel (not for sale, sorry) with hockey puck Thanks.

Certainly no offense intended. I just hadn't seen that set-up before on a small diameter wheel. Both pieces are really nice.

Absolutely none whatsoever taken, not in the least. Thanks.
