HELP! Hot Rod Color Choice is Causing Insomnia

I think I have the hot rod motor nailed down now, but I keep waffling on the color choice The tub and parts hit the body shop Friday. It will require some sheet metal work, but I'm running out of time. Lets have a show of hands on the two that keep bouncing back and forth. Keep in mind, this is a hot rod build.

Craig, I went through this drama earlier in the year IMHO both schemes have "been done before" (and very well!). Check out Porsche colour "Golden Green", I'm in love with that colour and had I not stuck with the original Ossi Blue on my car, my hotrod would have been painted in this very rare and unusual green... And I'm not even a fan of green

Fishcop, there is a car that golden green color sitting at Aase motors in Orange County. It is a VERY unusual color. Nobody at the shop has seen it before. You'd never like it on a color sample, but on the car it looks great!

Honestly, the only way I'm going to pick a color is to stay off this board. Just when I think I know what I want, somebody posts a picture of something I fall in love with. Now this poll doesn't help, as it's a virtual tie. it's the tie in my head that I'm trying to break.

Chartreuse is another funky green choice!

Struggled with the same choice - I was torn between albert and this green. Everyone said stay away from the green. The guys in the body shop call it "Booger"

I absolutely love it. It commands attention without screaming mid life!

    But that's just my opinion.

I'd vote green - but I guess that wasn't one of the choices was it!

    Best,

    Alex

It reminds me of the (I think it is DOW) coating for Aluminum or Magnesium parts used in airframes on planes.

My 67S was very similar. Is there another green like that? I don't remember it having a gold tinge.

Just ask the wife which color she prefers. You can get some points back there after buying all the hot rod goodies.

Flieger, where do you think the Tangerine came from? Orange is my wife's color pick. Actually, she couldn't care less what I do in the Porsche world. In six years of racing every POC cup event, my wife has only gone to two, and only to Laguna Seca "because Carmel has good shopping". When I told her about this project all she said was..."Are we going to have greasy fingerprints by all the light switches again?"
