John, a guy on 914 World posted a pair that don't look awful, he was asking for valuation so hopefully they're not sold yet.
Better off to rehab an old set than the shiny boxes made by BillyBoat. H&S in the UK make better pieces but they're $2,500 plus.
AA has a craptactular pair on eBay, if you're feeling masochistic. Failing that, contact Armando to see if he knows of any for sale.

    Good luck!

I have a very nice set that may be for sale soon; they are factory and could be made near perfect for minimal effort.

    Stay tuned, Robert

These are one of those pieces that are fetching around 2500-3000 for a good pair on the free market but there are some really good 914 guys will sell for much less when available. Will keep an eye out for you.

You have to wonder as sixes become more popular and more expensive, how expensive the heat exchangers are going to get?? One of those parts that aren't being reproduced accurately and also VERY prone to rusting away. Going to be alot more cars needing them and alot less available. Always the chance that, someone like me, who was NEVER going to use them on my car again has a decent set, but, fewer and fewer people are going to be cutting up perfectly lovely sixes like I did 6-7 years ago!

Perhaps old news, but didn't SSI used to make these? If so, they don't seem findable anymore. I'm not in immediate need, but will probably need/want some down the road. I too, have been looking.
