    Bonus Porsche Days

    The unseasonably warm weather here in the Northeast has provided many of us with 'bonus' Porsche driving days. I thought it might be nice to see some pictures of those brethren who are keeping their cars in use during this welcome respite. Naturally everyone is welcome here, but for those of us in the Northeast this is a great gift. Not much clears the cobwebs like driving my car once the tires come up to temp. Here's me out for a ride today (in January no less!).

    Excuse the phone camera pics;

    Cheers,
    Mike

    Thanks Paul, it's amazing how much more fun I'm having wringing this little 2.0L out driving for even basic errands. I had to be doing hooligan-esque speeds with my 3.6 to be having the same amount of fun.

    Harry, she's still a work in progress, but after all the helpful input on my previous thread, I decided to chuck it all out the window and go totally privateer-look. Instead of paying big bucks for 356 GT hood straps, I spent $11 at Target and bought two cheapo belts from the young men's department. I think it came out pretty well:

    Mike, great photos, especially the second, moody evening shot.

    We are also experiencing unusually mild weather here in Germany without salt on the roads. I was out for a blast sometime between Christmas and New Year, first time out for my aluminium overriders (300g each!). They are polished and, perhaps a little too "white", but I love them.

    This weather has been unbelievable hasn't it? I've been able to get in a lot of "seize the moment" drives too, until yesterday when we got an overnight shower that turned into glare ice for the morning commute. The road crews went wild using up their stockpile of salt, and my truck at the end of the day looked as though I had spent the fall at the Bonneville Flats.

    I'm hoping tomorrow's rain will wash off the salt and give us some more driving opportunities.

    Car looks great Mike.

    Thanks Luke.

    23.75" Front
    24.50" Rear

    If I remember correctly. Your results will vary depending on sidewall height.
