    1966 911 with electric sunroof

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-...item256b239d3c

I am going to look this beast over tomorrow....it's located about 35 miles south of me....

Any comments on it would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Looks respectable for the money. Although it certainly doesn't look like a rust bucket, I'd consider that the places he was honest enough to point out may eventually need serious repair. I'd be sure to get the original aircleaner and put it back on. Just for fun see if the car jack will raise the car. If it does, reasonably solid rockers.

    Tom, did you buy it?

Looks like a decent car. Washer bag, isn't that a '65? I noticed it has some Chris Craft woodworking going on.

yep, lots of oak plywood... this one would have been built late in 65 for 66 if you go with the prevailing wisdom around here. I'm trying to reconcile the sell price of this one with the max bid on the green one that stalled around 24? You've gotta think this white car could use the whole nine yards once you start digging (euro delivery car that's lived in the south a good chunk of it's life). Maybe it's going back over the pond for some track time?

Tom said he never made it. I spoke with the guy a few times but got scared away with the looks of one of the jack ports and the heavy undercoating. Nice early car just the same, but as E911 says, the whole nine yards once you get into it. He was looking for 30-35, which I assume he got.

He relisted it with a buy-it-now and it sold for $28,500. Link.

I heard (from seller) it was on it's way back to Germany for 30... I guess Europe hasn't quite imploded yet.
