    Tie Rods for SWB

I have been concerned about 'Turbo' Tie rods fitted to SWB cars for some time.

The number of threads engaged when a Turbo Tie Rod Kit is limted to two to three threads and I just don't feel that this is quite sufficient and we have always worried about this set up.

We have spent some time with a parts list and have found a combination of parts that fit a SWB car and allow 1.5 Diameters of thread engagement at the nominal track setting, which gets rid of my concern.

We have found gaiters that work and all the parts needed.

I have installed Turbo tie rods on my SWB and had no problems with the extra long Elephant Racing tie rod kit:

I agree that if you can fit the right track rod end - we didn't find one easily so we changed tie rod and the track rod end

The ER Kit is great but expensive to import here to the UK with freight, customs and clearance charges - hence the solution we have come up with and only $125 for the complete kit and still uses OEM parts.
