LWB Front Rubber S Deco Trim with Overriders: Cut or Uncut?

What's the correct way the front deco strip and rubber should be set up if I'm going to add overriders to a LWB 911? Trying to get this project done today but am unsure which route to go as I've seen both:

    Cut

    Uncut

I'm inclined to go with uncut per Ed's comment in the first thread...

...but if I go this route, can I simply drill through the rubber and metal of my non-overrider strip? If not, does someone have a part number for the wide S deco strip for use with overriders? Thanks all!

My trim which I'm restoring at the moment is original judging from the state of it when I removed it, and it is uncut.

If you cut it it will probably shrink, and never look right. The only problem is you want to go back to no over riders, you'll have to replace the rubber, as well as put a plug in your bumper.

The deco insert is uncut when used with the steel overriders, just drill a hole through the rubber for the overrider bolt. For some reason the insert was split under the large 73 foam overriders.
